Parish and School Endowments

What are endowment Funds?

Endowment funds are an accumulation of resources that donors choose to maintain intactly and in perpetuity; only the income (interest) from the funds is distributed for designated purposes.  We created endowments to ensure the future of our parish and school.  The endowment principal must remain intact.  As of March 31, 08

Parish Endowment Fund

School Endowment Fund

School Endowment for Disadvantaged Students Endowment

What are the benefits of an endowment fund?

A pool of resources with unlimited potential for growth, a reliable annual income for the programs, services and ministries of the parish and school, a gift of commitment to the financial security and future of the parish and schools.

We encourage you to use St. Theresa's church envelopes as this will make it easier for us to accurately record your donations.

Please let us know if you have moved! We like to keep our parishioner records current.  Please call Joyce Kaiser at 847 358-7760 and give her your new phone number, address, or other information.

Dear Parishioners,

Thank you for your visit to our St. Theresa Business Office web page.  Our parish is an extension of our homes.  It is the physical focal point of our faith.  It is the challenge by which God gives us special graces through the sacraments.  It is the public forum where we gather as a Christian community to give a witness to Jesus.

Our parish gives us so much: the Eucharistic celebration, the initiation of baptism and confirmation, the soothing and strengthening help of penance, the blessing of matrimony, the comfort of the sacrament of the sick, the “belonging” of community, and the security and assurance of knowing we are people of God.

These wonderful benefits come with a responsibility for each of us toward our parish.  We fulfill this obligation by the giving of our time and talents, and by our adequate financial support.  This giving of our time, talents, and treasure to our parish constitutes our stewardship.  God has blessed us greatly.  In gratitude and in faith we as good stewards, return a portion of these blessings to God’s work his church.

With a sincere heart as your Business Manager I pledge to you my commitment to be sure that we use your contributions within the frame work of the Best Business Practices of the Archdiocese of Chicago.  We take seriously the obligation to give your money to the fund you would like it to go to and to respect your contribution as a sacrifice from you to our Lord Jesus Christ to benefit his church.

In Christ, the Great Steward,

Gail McCusker

Business Manager

Forward In Faith

On the first Sunday of the Month we will be collecting for our Forward in Faith Campaign.  St. Theresa Parish needs your help to accomplish the goals that we have set before us.

The Forward in Faith Campaign financed a $5.4 million renovation of our church and the school expansion project.  Our Parish Community has shown enormous generosity throughout this project.  We are so close to making this dream a reality.  Our loan is now $334,452.00 as of 8/31/08.    The money that is collected each Sunday goes for the principal of the loan.  The monthly payment on the loan is 19,877.79.  This money is taken from our General Parish Operating Funds.  The interest on the loan is 7.19% So as you can see the money we collect on the first Sunday of the month really helps to pay down the loan as quickly as is possible as it is an extra payment on the loan of Principal.

This is our opportunity to leave our hand print on this beautiful church by helping to finish paying the balance on our loan.  Please support this endeavor by using your monthly Forward in Faith envelope and let us help each other to continue to move Forward in Faith.

"The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance." Proverbs 21:5

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:21
