This invaluable ministry strives to meet the needs of our parishioners and it has been flourishing due to so many willing volunteers who have generously donated and continue to donate, their time and treasure. The ministry continues to expand/reach out into the community in order serve those who may need assistance. Please read this letter from Fr. Tom Bishop who leads this ministry at St. Theresa:

The Ministry of Care at St. Theresa is our Outreach Ministry. This ministry

helps people in need. It works closely with the St. Vincent de Paul Society to

handle requests for food, school supplies, medicine and basic necessities.

The past few months have seen a great increase in requests for help.
So, I am reaching out to the parish and asking for some help.

We need food and gift cards for our needy neighbors. The best cards are

from places like Aldi, Jewel, EuroFresh, Target and Walmart. Aldi gives us the

biggest bang for food needs. Jewel, Target, and Walmart all have pharmacies so

that prescriptions can be filled. EuroFresh has great fresh fruit and vegetables.

If you can, when you are shopping pick up a few gift cards. They will be

greatly appreciated. Try to keep them in the $20.00. to $25.00 range. This allows

us to work more easily with people. And please write the amount on the cards.

Also, if you would like credit for tax purposes, please write your name and/or your

envelope number on your donation.
